Privacy Policy

The Lobby ("the app") is a pass-the-phone party game. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and who it is shared with. We keep it short and honest.

What we collect

  • Profile you create in the app (a display name and a cartoon avatar). This is stored only on your device and never uploaded by us. Player names you add for friends stay on the device too.
  • Usage analytics — anonymous events such as which games are opened and completed, screen flows, device model, OS version, app version, language and timezone. Collected via PostHog.
  • Purchase information — if you subscribe, the purchase is processed by Apple. Our subscription provider RevenueCat receives purchase receipts and an anonymous user identifier to manage your entitlement. We never see your payment details.
  • Advertising data — the free version shows ads served by Appodeal and its partner ad networks. To serve and measure ads, these partners may collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking), IP address, coarse location derived from IP, and device information. On iOS you are always asked first via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, and you can decline.

What we do NOT collect

No account is required. We do not collect your email, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, microphone or camera data.

Your choices

  • Ads & tracking: decline the tracking prompt (or change it later in iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking) and ads become non-personalized. Subscribing to The Lobby Pro removes ads entirely.
  • Consent: where GDPR/CCPA applies, a consent form is shown before personalized ads are served, and you can withdraw consent from the same flow.
  • Data deletion: deleting the app removes the locally stored profile. For ad/analytics data held by our partners, contact us and we will forward your request.

Children

The app is a general-audience party game and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
